“What’s the difference between a down and synthetic sleeping bag?”
Down bags are lighter and have a longer life span- this also makes them more expensive than their synthetic counterparts. A synthetic bag, on the other hand, will still retain some of its warmth when wet, and you can’t say the same thing about down. If you get your down bag wet, you’ll be one chilly camper!
In short, no one is better than another - it all depends on how you’ll be using it. Feel free to come in the store and try one out - we’ve even got bags from Montbell that feature with four-way stretch so you have more freedom at night. No more sleeping like a mummy!
